No dry, chalky cupcakes here. Or donuts, cookies, and brownies, for that matter! In 2005, Erin McKenna’s gluten-free, vegan bakery opened in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and was an instant hit. The confectionery shop was the first of its kind in the city, proving health-minded vegan treats can be fun and delicious. She’s paved the way for aspiring entrepreneurs around the city and has since expanded her business, opening two additional locations in the United States. Erin is a bona fide veteran in the industry, and inspires us to keep fighting the good fight with salted butter caramel drizzled on top!
