Susi Studio is a Los Angeles-based lifestyle company that aims to promote conscious living. We design vegan footwear for the modern woman. Our focus is to inspire compassion towards humanity, animals, and the environment through creativity. We have made it our mission to make sustainable footwear both accessible and stylish.
Veganism is a cruelty-free philosophy that embraces how we interact with the planet and encompasses more than what’s for dinner. Vegans apply the same conscious practice from their diet to their lifestyle by eliminating the use of animal-derived products. We exercise mindful design and production by using sustainable materials like canvas, denim, hemp, and faux leather produced from recycled plastic bottles.
We work with factories in Portugal and Hong Kong. The artisans we work with take immense pride in their work and have passed down their trade over generations. Our Hong Kong factory is owned and operated entirely by women. Bianca, the founder, visits both factories regularly and has formed friendships with them, as well.
We spent nearly a year looking for the right partners. We have a specific compliance audit to evaluate factors like fair wages, reasonable hours, and environment. It is of utmost importance to us to create a company that is true to its values.
Bianca Moran is the founder and creative director of Susi Studio. She discovered veganism when she moved to Barcelona at 14 years old, and has since made it her life’s work to inspire others to make more conscious lifestyle decisions. In February 2015, Bianca opened SUSI Restaurant in the Philippines, the first gluten-free, vegan eatery in the country.
Inspired by the gap in the fashion industry for versatile, cruelty-free footwear, Bianca began sketching designs and Susi Studio was born. Bianca’s goal is to illustrate women should never compromise their femininity or personal style in order to uphold their values.
Bianca lives in Los Angeles with her firecracker of a puppy Moon.
